Protesters trooped to the streets of Jalingo, the Taraba State’s capital on Thursday demanding President Bola Tinubu to return the fuel subsidy as part of the measures to end the ongoing hardship in the country.

The protesters converged and commenced their procession at the Police Roundabout, located few metres away from the Government House.

Chanting: “Tinubu, end hunger,’ ‘Tinubu, return fuel subsidy,” the protesters comprised mostly youths, stormed the streets at about 11:30am before heading towards Barde and later Hamaruwa Way.

As part of measures to prevent the breakdown of law and order, heavy security presence including operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and those of the Department of State Services (DSS) were seen guarding the protesters.
